Rocks & Rivers Adventure
Approximate Ages 14-15
Rocks & Rivers Adventure is a great program for campers who want to get more experience rock climbing and kayaking. After arriving at our home base, campers begin introductions and group dynamics – a key to success on the rock or in the river. The next morning the groups heads out for a rock climb with our experienced instructors. Over the next eight days, the group camps, climbs, and kayaks in some of the most spectacular spots in northern Colorado. This program offers campers the opportunity to challenge themselves with varying degrees of difficulty on the rock. This is balanced with paddles through Colorado rivers. Campers will begin with top-rope climbs and learn the basics of lead-climbing, anchor and protection placement. No previous experience is necessary. Rock & Rivers Adventures is lead by experienced and competent instructors who possess advanced wilderness skills, a love for rock climbing and kayaking and a commitment to providing a safe, fun experience for young people.
Groups consist of 2 or 3 leaders and 6 to 9 campers.
